Late Snow
- 2 minutes read - 390 wordsCWs: work, physical health
We got our first snow on Tuesday night into Wednesday. Maybe 3-4" when all was said and done. It was a pain to shovel, but hey, here we are. This is probably the latest it’s snowed since we moved here. We’re still about 3 weeks out from the solstice (just about) and the proper start of winter. It’s been cold lately; the heat’s been on a bunch, and the car has been unhappy with the cold (worse mileage, unfortunately, but not terribly so; our commute, which normally takes 10% round-trip, took 13-14% instead). But I love the cold and it’s nice, and snow is overall pretty great, at least in the backyard.
I had a blood draw last week and the results thankfully came back normal. There were a few weird numbers on the last one, but they seem to have evened out. However, I’ve also been having some shoulder pain lately. My spouse started going to physical therapy again (we can go to a clinic through work, so that’s cool), and recommended I set up an appointment. So I did and I’m going next week to have them help out with it. That will be very nice, I hope. Trying to take better care of myself these days as I am slowly but surely getting older.
Work was pretty busy this week, although good. I’m just exhausted and today was frustrating. I didn’t get as much as I wanted done today, for reasons largely out of my control. But it’s OK. I am doing my best and that’s enough. If it’s not, then I’ll figure it out, but all I can do is my best.
I’m checking out Bandcamp music now. It’s always nice to have Bandcamp Friday, I wish it happened every month, but I guess they, like everyone else, are looking out for their bottom line. Music is lovely though and, to quote early-2000s me, music is life (now I am hearing Dani from Ted Lasso screaming “Football is life” haha). It really is, though. I just recently signed up on ListenBrainz so please check out my random eclectic music taste if you like! (I need to put this on the front page or whatever, tbh)
Anyways, I hope y’all are doing well as always. Wanted to write and check in. More later.
